A well kept secret meant a moment that Robin Gould will remember forever as he looks on in disbelief. Starting at Templecombe loco shed on 18 January 1954 as a cleaner he was made up to a fireman five years later. Upon closure of the S&D by the Western Region Robin transferred to Westbury as a secondman, finally becoming a driver in 1973 where he would remain serving British Rail/Trainload Freight SouthEast/Mainline Freight/EWS/Seco Rail & Colas Rail. 30 September 2008.Previous | NextA railway fondly remembered and sadly missed by many people.
